Photoshop design_Homework

Step 1: Firstly i opened up Illustrator and created a S like shape and and then reflected it to the opposite side of the original S. I then opened up photoshop, selected the background layer and paintbrush tool and did 4 big faded grey dots, i then added noise to the background image. I then created a new layer and copied my design from illustrator.
Step 2: I then duplicated the layer 4 times and rotated them whilst holding shift so they would stay in the centre and put each different layer facing a different direction e.g. North, East. South, and West.
Step 3: Next i added 4 different colours on each point of the shapes and changed the layer blending mode from normal to dissolve to give the colour texture, and i then created a new layer and merged it with each colour layer to smooth out the texture.
Step 4: Then i had to select each shape and inverse it then delete the colour layer, this removes the excess colour from each shape
Step 5: Next i had to add a new layer, select the brush tool and colour the bottom and top of the left and right shape white and change the layer blending to Overlay, then added a new layer and used the brush tool to paint a white spot in the middle, once this was done i had to change the layer blending mode from normal to dissolve then merged a new layer with the white spot and changed it to dissolve, to hide some of white i selected the add layer mask.
Step 6: I then used the paintbrush tool to cover the design with black to darken the image on the mask area.
Step 7: Next i used the paint brush tool again on a new layer and on all the corners i used 7 different colours to cover the whole image and the corners and changed the layer blend to Overlay.
Step 8: I then used the pen tool with a white brush and used it from the corner of the shape to the curve, then right clicked and selected Stroke Path, then selected the path tab and deleted the layer and gone back to layers and changed blend to overlay, and then i used the black paint brush tool to get rid of some of the brightness on the design as the colours were too bright and changed it to soft light.
Step 9: Finally i then selected all layers and copied all layers on to a new layer, pasted and changed layer blend to colour dodge, and adjusted the opacity.
